Red Soil Acidity Control Breakthrough Demonstrated in Fujian
Publish:2026-03-19 17:02:06On March 16, 2026, Mr. Chen Xulong, Deputy General Manager of MATA, led a team to attend a field demonstration event on red soil acidity management and soil fertility improvement.
The event was successfully held in Shaxian District, Sanming City, and brought together nearly 50 participants. Attendees included leading experts and representatives from major research
institutions, including the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Nanjing), Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Agricultural University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University,
Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Also present were technical experts from the Fujian Provincial Farmland Construction and Soil Fertilizer Technology Extension Center, heads of local soil and
fertilizer stations across Fujian Province, as well as government officials at various levels from Sanming City.
Focusing on the key challenge of soil acidification in red soil regions, the event highlighted an integrated solution combining soil conditioners with green manure
incorporation. As a core supporting product, MATA’s self-developed Tebei Calcium soil conditioner was featured on-site and received strong recognition from experts and industry peers for its field performance.

Fujian is one of China’s major red soil regions, where soil acidification and aluminum toxicity significantly constrain farmland productivity and sustainable agricultural development.
The field demonstration provided clear evidence of the effectiveness of the integrated approach. Compared with conventional single-method practices—such as green manure alone
or standalone soil conditioners—the integrated model delivers more balanced and superior results in acidity control, aluminum suppression, soil fertility enhancement, and crop yield improvement.
As a key component of this solution, MATA’s Tebei Calcium soil conditioner played a critical role in the demonstration. Developed with advanced raw material activation and formulation technologies,
the product enables gentle and long-lasting pH regulation while effectively immobilizing active aluminum ions in the soil, addressing the root causes of acidification and aluminum toxicity.
When combined with green manure incorporation, the solution further increases soil organic matter, improves soil structure, and enhances microbial activity. By integrating acidity control,
aluminum suppression, and biological soil enrichment, it creates a healthier soil environment that supports both higher yields and improved crop quality.

This successful demonstration provides strong support for scalable solutions to acidified farmland across China. Looking ahead, MATA will continue to strengthen collaboration with
research institutions such as the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, focusing on the needs of red soil regions and acidified farmland in southern China. The company will further
optimize products like Tebei Calcium and expand integrated soil improvement solutions to accelerate their adoption in the field.
Committed to sustainable agriculture, MATA will continue to drive innovation in soil health management, contributing to improved farmland quality, food security, and long-term agricultural sustainability.
